About Diego
Diego is a year-old Shepherd mix who's fully grown at about 45 pounds. He starts off on the shy side, but after a little time, his calm and gentle nature comes out strong. Diego bonds closely with people he trusts and prefers a steady, patient approach. He's crate trained, does well with other dogs, and would be happy having a canine buddy. Recently, Diego went on his first outing around a local mall and Lake Harveston and handled the busy environment surprisingly well. He’s been working with a trainer on confidence and polite leash skills, and enjoys going for walks once he relaxes. Diego can get a bit possessive around his food if other dogs are too close while eating, but this is improving with guidance. Because of this, a home without young children would be best—kids sometimes miss boundaries during feeding times. Diego thrives with consistency and positive reinforcement. With a patient, experienced home, he'll keep growing into an attentive and loyal companion who loves both adventure and downtime. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
