About Garth Algar

Garth Algar stands out as the quiet soul in his family, keeping to himself while offering hints of deep sweetness to those willing to wait. He’s a gentle spirit—more of an observer at first, sticking to safe spots until he trusts you. If you give him the space and patience he needs, he opens up and shows his affectionate side as a true lap cat. Garth isn't immediately in your face; think of him as the cat version of that chill friend who prefers a low-key hangout over a big party. He thrives in a peaceful home, especially one with a confident cat buddy who can show him the ropes. Garth loves other cats and genuinely gains courage from their company, so having a feline friend would help him settle in. With dogs, he’s less enthusiastic—he’ll tolerate a respectful pup but doesn’t want to be joined at the hip. There’s a real reward in earning Garth’s trust. When he finally decides you’re his person, you’ll have a purring companion curled up the crook of your arm, kneading away on the nearest blanket. If you’re after an affectionate cat who moves at his own pace, Garth could be your perfect match in Wilmington, NC. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
