Shiva is an American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big personality and quirky habits—she’s known to walk under curtains for a DIY back rub if no humans are around to scratch her. If you’re curtain-less, prepare for lots of hands-on attention. She’s potty and crate trained, though she really doesn’t care for crates and would rather do almost anything else. She has a well-balanced temperament and gets along with both people and dogs, though continued socialization is a plus. Shiva has also met chickens and was close with a potbelly pig at one point. While she minds her manners, she will “sing” and howl if left alone for too long, which means apartment life isn’t her best fit—unless your neighbors are immune to the noise. She needs ample walks, running, and companionship, thriving with adopters who hike or bike with their dogs. Shiva already knows sit, shake, and down, and she’s quick to learn more.
