About Tricky
Tricky is a big, soft-hearted mixed breed (with some Black Labrador Retriever) who’s spent the past year and a half adjusting to indoor life after surviving the streets of Fresno. Now settled in Coarsegold, CA, this 3-year-old (about 75 pounds) just wants to be close to his person, lounge in comfort, and finally let himself relax. Tricky is neutered, fully vaccinated, and reliably house trained. His favorite place is anywhere he can be near you—ideally sharing your bed or flopping down for a dramatic play moment. Gentle and eager to please, Tricky knows basic commands and absolutely loves people. He’s friendly with men and women, tends to be calm with strangers (though he might bark when someone arrives), and is easy to live with as long as he’s not left alone too long. He has a special fondness for cats and gets along great with them. Around other dogs, he’s usually fine, but in his current home, jealousy has started cropping up, so he’d be happiest as an only dog, or possibly with his canine “dad” if you have space for two. Tricky thrives in a quiet, stable home with someone who’s around much of the time and doesn’t mind sharing space—and possibly the bed— with a loyal, affectionate shadow.
