About Jupiter
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Jupiter is a lovely, high-energy young Australian Shepherd who has recently arrived from a rural shelter in southern Ohio. She is incredibly sweet and adores being with her people, always seeking out companionship and adventure. Jupiter requires an active person or family, as she needs plenty of physical and mental outlets to channel her enthusiasm. Apartment living may not suit her best, as she dislikes being crated or kenneled and will bark if confined this way. Jupiter is currently learning better leash manners—she tends to pull until she gets some of her energy out—and she is still mastering her potty training skills. Though she hasn't yet been tested with children or cats, she gets along well with other dogs. If you are searching for a best friend to accompany you on hikes, bike rides, or a partner in any adventure (or perhaps give her a job to do), Jupiter is eager to become your energetic companion! Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Jupiter
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Australian Shepherds thrive in homes with ample space to run and play, such as houses with large fenced yards or rural properties. They do best where they can be actively involved with their families and have opportunities to use their intelligence and energy every day.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Australian Shepherds require a lot of outdoor space to safely burn off their high energy. Regular access to a securely fenced yard or open fields for running and play is ideal, plus daily walks and activities.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Australian Shepherds are often excellent with children, especially when socialized from a young age. They are playful, loyal, and protective, but their herding instinct may lead them to try and herd kids, so supervision is recommended.
