About Stellaluna The Fruit Bat
Stellaluna The Fruit Bat is a beautiful adult female German Shepherd who has gone through a lot and is still learning that people and the world can be safe. She spent her first six years mainly isolated outdoors, with almost no contact with humans or other dogs. Now, she's working to overcome her fears and has started a four-week training course focused on socialization. Stellaluna forms strong bonds with her primary person—the loyalty and affection run deep once you’re in her circle. She’s known for her snuggly side, love of belly rubs, and goofy play style, especially her enthusiasm for squeaky toys and games of fetch. She’s a silly, loving dog who can be nervous about new people, animals, and, sometimes, random objects on the street. The right fit would be someone experienced with shepherds, able to provide stability and understanding. Stellaluna is not yet available for adoption until her training program is finished, but you can reach out to her foster for updates and to ask about her progress. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
