Beatrice is a sweet, gentle, and loving girl who came to us from a shelter partner in November (right). Found as a stray, she was underweight, infested with fleas, and had hair loss and skin irritation on her belly and hind legs. Although young (perhaps 18 months), she has suffered from chronic neglect and been bred at some point in her short life. She was hesitant around humans. Fast forward to now, and Beatrice's coat has grown in beautifully, she has put on weight, and she has gained confidence! Beatrice is a loving, sweet girl who would be a wonderful match for adopters with a male dog her size, smaller dogs of either sex, cats, and/or children, including small ones. She does get bouncy when she's happy now -- isn't that wonderful?!--but owners could help her settle down around small children.
