About Monty

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Monty! Monty is a sweet, approximately 3-year-old, 30-pound Carolina Dog mix in search of a patient, loving forever home. At first, he can be timid in new situations, so a family that understands the importance of patience and giving him time to build trust would be perfect. Monty thrives around other dogs and will need a confident, friendly canine companion in his new home to help bring out his social and playful side. A fully fenced yard is essential, allowing Monty to safely enjoy his backyard adventures and playtime with his furry friend. Once he feels comfortable and secure, Monty reveals his true personality—he is an affectionate attention-seeker who adores being with people and other dogs alike. He loves toys and interaction with his dog buddies. Monty is house- and crate-trained and is still building his confidence on a leash, making backyard play more enjoyable for him than walks in the neighborhood. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on his vaccinations, ready to start his next chapter with the right family. Applicants within an hour of Cary, NC are preferred so Monty can access veterinary care as needed during the two-week trial period. Consideration may be given to homes further away for the perfect family. If you’re ready to offer Monty patience, love, and a resident playful pup to show him the ropes, Monty will forever be your loyal friend. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
