About Viggo
Viggo is a 1½-year-old, 16-pound Corgi mix, small and short-coated, who came to Albuquerque, NM from a shelter in northern New Mexico. When he first arrived, he was shy and reserved, but steady care and affection helped him come out of his shell. These days, Viggo approaches life with newfound curiosity and confidence, eager to greet each day instead of hiding away. He has mild vision and hearing impairments, though they don’t seem to get in his way. Viggo is currently being treated for heartworm and is handling it well, heading toward a full recovery. For him, the ideal home is as a single pet with no small children—he prefers his space calm and predictable. Viggo is house trained and up-to-date on his vaccines, a resilient dog who has adapted to his challenges with quiet determination. All he needs now is a patient adopter who can offer stability, affection, and a genuine sense of belonging. Fun fact: With a birthday on July 1, Viggo is a Cancer, a sign known for loyalty and love of home. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
