About Krissie
Meet Krissie, a 4-year-old Bichon mix who came to AFA after being rescued from a puppy mill. Like many puppy mill rescues, she’s very shy and nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations. Once she builds some confidence, she becomes curious, sniffing around and exploring her surroundings. Krissie isn’t walking on a leash yet, but she’s been working with the staff to gain the confidence she needs. She gets along well with other small dogs, and they often help bring out her playful side. Krissie has a heart murmur, potential adopters should know there could be additional medical costs in the future for this sweet girl. You may call or stop by for more information on her condition. *Krissie will need a home with a fenced yard since, as a puppy mill rescue, she’s never experienced a typical “dog’s life” and doesn’t yet know how to recall. She’s still wary of new things, and if she got loose, she would likely run in fear rather than come when called. This requirement is for her safety and well-being. With patience and love, Krissie’s heart will surely open up. Come say hello to her today! Interested in adopting?
