About Buttercup
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Buttercup! This spunky, happy-go-lucky girl is about 3–4 years old and found her way to the rescue from animal control. Buttercup is friendly, outgoing, and always enthusiastic about life. She loves meeting new people, seeing each one as a potential new best friend. Whether it's snacks, walks, or toys, Buttercup is eager to participate in any adventure. She already knows how to sit and is working on her manners, particularly learning not to jump when excited. Buttercup is a smart, high-energy dog who thrives best with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. She responds wonderfully to food and toys as motivation, making training and enrichment enjoyable for both her and her adopter. Buttercup can be selective with other dogs but has previously lived with cats—though she sometimes needs reminders not to chase them. She does great with children, but her energy and enthusiasm mean she could unintentionally knock over younger kids, so supervision is recommended. Her ideal home will have an adopter comfortable with responsible dog ownership and dedicated to her ongoing exercise, training, and clear boundaries. Routine veterinary visits, socialization, and continued positive reinforcement will help Buttercup be her best self. After a fun-filled day, Buttercup enjoys snuggling up on the couch. She’s known for her cute face and cooperative nature during grooming and vet visits. This lively girl is looking for an active, committed home ready to invest attention and care in exchange for a loyal, loving companion. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
