About Dutch
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Say hello to Dutch—a sweet, soulful 8-year-old, 60 lb. Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound mix who is so ready for his next chapter. Dutch's journey has been one of perseverance and hope. After being found as a stray in May and testing heartworm positive, he was placed in a foster home where he bravely completed his heartworm treatment. Now heartworm negative, Dutch is healthy and eager for a family of his own. When the shelter that took him in became overcrowded, Imagine FURever Ranch opened its doors, giving Dutch a safe place to land as he transitions to the next phase of his life. Dutch is an affectionate dog who craves connection and just wants to be loved. Like many dogs who have experienced upheaval, he is still adjusting to his new surroundings and feels some stress as he settles in. Dutch would be happiest in a patient home, where he can decompress, build up his confidence, and be surrounded by all the love he deserves. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who has proven his resilience, Dutch has so much love left to give. He may be the perfect match for someone who wants to offer patience, companionship, and a true forever home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
