Pete is a sweet, gentle boy who is soaking up every part of his new life in foster care. Everything excites him, from car rides and meeting new people to exploring new places or simply hanging out nearby in the kitchen. He has a joyful, curious spirit and finds happiness in the little things. Pete was found in heartbreaking condition, but that hasn't dampened his spirit at all! He will need a family that understands his past and gives him time to settle in. In return, he offers endless affection, gratitude, and a loving presence that makes everyday moments feel special. His personality continues to shine more each day as he heals and gains confidence. Pete is potty trained and crate trained, heartworm negative, friendly with kids and other animals, and loves to play fetch. He is working on leash skills and manners and has been wonderful with everyone he has met so far. Pete will be ready to start taking adoption applications soon and is hoping for a cozy forever home to call his own.
