About Mia

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Mia is a sweet, fluffy girl who longs for affection but is understandably cautious—her previous human sadly had her declawed and even considered euthanasia when she became hesitant to cuddle. Thankfully, she was rescued and has since relearned the joy of gentle, loving touches. Once she feels safe, Mia truly adores being petted. As a declawed cat, Mia can feel vulnerable and may react defensively, especially if her feet are touched by strangers. She’s searching for a quiet, predictable, and secure home where she can always find cozy pillows and sun-drenched windows to lounge in. Toys and treats brighten her world, and offering her treats is sure to help win her trust. Born in March 2020, Mia is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Cat and kitten adoptions at Emmet County Animal Shelter are always free will donation to approved applicants. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
