About Gorda

Gorda has been settling into foster care and quickly makes her presence known—in the best ways. She thrives on companionship, always eager to snuggle up or be nearby, offering up her unwavering loyalty and affection. Gorda’s sense of humor shines through; she’s a little shadow with a big personality and expressive eyes that grab your attention (and maybe melt your heart). She’s playful and energetic when the mood strikes, but is just as happy to steal a spot on a warm blanket for some downtime. Potty training is going well with consistency and positive reinforcement—she’s got a soft spot for freeze-dried salmon treats. If her humans are away, Gorda uses her pee pads reliably. She’s not a barker, more the curious, watchful type. Crate training is a work in progress; she’ll tolerate short spells in the crate, but finds a corner of the bed much more her style and sleeps through the night peacefully. Like any true diva, Gorda sets boundaries around her favorite chews and people, so her adopter should be a confident, experienced handler, preferably with a background in chihuahua care. She can get mouthy when playing but is easily redirected with toys and patience. Gorda needs to be the only dog in the home and prefers her own space. Despite her quirks, she is full of joy and brings love, laughter, and a little bit of sass to those lucky enough to know her. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
