About Papaya
Papaya is pretty 6 year old female. She came to the shelter as a stray and would love a new home of her very own. Naturally she's a little shy at the shelter and would love someone that will show her everything will be ok. Papaya is a very special girl... she's orange and most orange kitties are male. Papaya also has Felv (Feline Leukemia.) The Felv virus is fragile and cannot survive longer than a few hours outside of the cat. It is mainly passed to other cats through close contact activities, such as mutual grooming, bites, and sharing food bowls and litter boxes. Felv is species specific and can not be transmitted to humans, dogs, and other aniamls. Papaya must be an inside only kitty and can live with other Felv kitties. Felv cats can live very happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives, with the right food, home environment, attention, and care. In return, they will show their love and companionship with purrs of pleasure, playtime, snuggles, and warm kisses. Papaya is up to date on vaccines and was spayed at the shelter, so she can go to her forever home the same day she is adopted! Reference Papaya's ID number A538802 when visiting the shelter. You are not required to fill out an online inquiry form. For more information about Papaya or Felv, contact Diane Gagliano at 407-665-5208 or DGagliano@seminolecountyfl.gov
