About Bart
Bart is a handsome, small chocolate and white poodle born November 30, 2020—so he's a Sagittarius, full of curiosity and a bit of independence. Weighing in around 10 pounds, he's recently retired from breeding and moved to the rescue after a kennel downsizing. Bart is a nervous soul at first and needs time to trust new people, but once he settles in, he enjoys being held and loved. He considers himself the alpha and is still learning good manners when it comes to other dogs, but he's beginning to play with toys and discover what affection really means. He manages a luxating patella that sometimes causes a limp in his right rear leg. Bart needs a fenced yard to safely romp around and should go to a home without children—the commotion is simply too much for him. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on regular heartworm and flea prevention, and does well with grooming. House training is still a work in progress. Bart gets along with other dogs but not with kids. If you’re looking for a sweet but cautious companion who craves patience and structure, Bart might be the match. Your new best friend is just one click away.
