About Southpaw

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Southpaw, the left-pawed charmer with a heart-shaped mark on his back. This young American Bully mix is a true Velcro companion—he'll happily follow you from room to room, sharing his love and loyalty every step of the way. Southpaw adores chasing tennis balls, tug of war, and, most of all, cuddles after a good play session. He's happiest when his favorite people are around, so he'd thrive in a home where someone is there more often and has space for him to run and play. Southpaw is crate trained but does get lonely if left for long stretches. He can be anxious with new people and situations, but once trust is earned, he blossoms into your best friend. While he likes cats, he sometimes can't resist chasing, so he’d do best as the only dog or potentially with a well-matched canine companion after careful introduction. Training comes easily to Southpaw, especially if treats are involved—he’s clever and enthusiastic, but continued patient guidance will help him be the best boy he can be. When excited, he'll make you smile with his unique mooing noises—earning him playful comparisons to a cow, bunny, or even a seal! Southpaw's protective bark might be startling, but it's simply his way of looking out for his loved ones. Southpaw is ready to find a family who will cherish him as much as he adores them. He’s waiting for a home full of love, patience, and the chance to share all those cuddles. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
