About Pixel
Pixel is a striking 4½-year-old black domestic shorthair, fostered in Oak Forest, IL, with a thick, silky coat and an unmistakable confidence. As a tripod missing one front leg due to a birth defect, she navigates her world without a second thought—her lively spirit and curiosity are impossible to miss. Mornings usually find Pixel zipping around the house, chasing toys with real enthusiasm and delighting in catnip pillows and anything with motion. She is very vocal, often announcing her excitement with cheerful meows and chirps that fill the home with energy. Pixel is a lap cat at heart and adores face, cheek, and ear scratches. She isn’t a fan of being picked up or having her paws touched, but her affectionate nature shows in the way she climbs right into a warm lap and purrs contentedly. She eats eagerly and keeps her litter box tidy without issue. While she does best as the only cat, Pixel can coexist with a calm, non-territorial feline, and has gotten along with low-energy dogs—though high-energy animals stress her out. She’s social and bonds quickly with people, especially those who keep a quiet, predictable home. If you’re searching for a loving, playful, and chatty companion who brings as much personality as she does comfort, Pixel may be your match. Click apply to start the adoption process.
