Dexpurr is a large, buff-tan adult male Domestic Short Hair cat. He is neutered and has his vaccinations up to date. Living with Manx syndrome means Dexpurr has special needs, as he occasionally experiences urinary leakage due to his missing tail. Dexpurr currently resides in Tucson, AZ and would benefit from someone who understands his condition and can provide a patient, stable home.

About Dexpurr

Dexpurr came to the rescue in March 2023 after his owner had to surrender him because of urinary incontinence caused by Manx syndrome—a condition connected with his lack of a tail. Every now and then, a little urine leaks, but Dexpurr doesn’t let this slow him down. He’s a sweet, gentle boy, and when he gets a burst of energy, he bounces across the room like a bunny, which never gets old to watch. He had a home once, but through no fault of his own, ended up back at the shelter. The transition hit him hard and left him subdued for a while. Dexpurr deserves a permanent, loving home that will stick by him. His next adopter should be committed for the long haul, because he can’t go through that heartbreak again. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
