The photographer, who can still run a 10-minute mile downhill, had a hard time keeping up with Mazie as she scurried down the Humane Society corridor on her way for a romp in the bark park. Two-year-old Mazie explored the playground with a charmingly relaxed stride that moved her about quickly with Whippet-like grace. Mazie looks at you with a curious but respectful gaze as she hopes for a kind word and a soft touch. She dreams for a home with a human who enjoys playful exercise and lots of walkies. She promises to let you set the pace. Weighing only 23 pounds, Mazie is perfectly sized for apartment living and would love sharing a couch cuddle. Mazie was joined by her best friend and kennel mate KiKi who shares many of the same wonderful qualities of small dog talents.
