Cherry Coke has fit right in with the rest of the family- 5 older cat siblings and a gentle dog. She’s a star that still stands out in the crowd. She’s quite independent but wants to be in the same room as all the activity is happening. As she’s quickly gained her confidence, she’s become curious about the dog but is still a little timid around him. She would definitely do well in a multi cat household and possibly around a docile patient dog, if she’s allowed adjustment time and a safe space to gain trust. She is both cuddly and independent, as long as she has other companions and lots of play things to stimulate her mind. She loves to run around very fast and chase her favorite springs and balls, which she will leave all over your house as gifts. She loves to cuddle at night and also loves her cozy safe spot in the window to retreat to when she needs some time to herself to ponder the world. She’s mostly quiet, but very talkative when she’s hungry or wants affection. She will plop next to you in the bed, nudge, and roll over for love and cuddles, while nestling her tiny body under your arm. What a soul mate!!! She’s a clean, confident, and social kitty that would bring joy to the right forever family. She’s perfect and her foster family love her! Currently in foster care in Long Beach. We can transport to approved adopter in LA county and some parts of OC. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. We currently TNR roughly 24 cats/month. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
