About Licorice
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Licorice is a skinny young pup who came to the shelter as an emaciated stray, but her spirit and love for people remain unbroken. Despite her rough start, she is very submissive and always eager for human attention, showing her goofy, high-energy side once she feels comfortable. Licorice appears crate trained, corrects well on leash, and is highly treat motivated—making her a joy to work with in training sessions. As a puppy, she's still learning and needs structure, but her eagerness to please shines through. Playful and sometimes a bit mouthy when overexcited, Licorice might not be ideal for homes with small children. She excels at meeting other dogs in the shelter and loves energetic play; any resident dog should be ready for an active companion, and a meet-and-greet is required to ensure compatibility. With patience and guidance, you can shape Licorice into a wonderful, well-mannered companion, and as she grows into her long legs, she’s sure to turn heads. Are you prepared for the adventures and responsibilities of raising a fun, loving puppy? If so, Licorice is waiting to meet you at Burlington County Animal Shelter. Start your journey together!
