About Blackberry
Blackberry was originally brought in through a community program for feral cats, but it became clear right away that he’s not feral—just shy. When staff first reached into his crate, Blackberry leaned in for pets and lifted his chin, eager for a gentle touch. He’s spent some time adjusting to indoor life and still startles easily, but he doesn’t lash out. Instead, if something scares him, he hides. Once you start petting him, though, Blackberry melts: he’ll purr, push into your hand, and try to curl up in your arms. Blackberry will thrive with someone patient who can offer him a peaceful home and the time he needs to settle in. He’ll repay your patience with deep, honest affection. Blackberry gets along with other cats but does best with people who move at his pace. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
