About Honey Bee

Honey Bee (also called Honey) is a 3-year-old pit mix found running hungry in Detroit, but she's kept her sunny outlook through it all. She moves with a distinct gait due to a mass between her c5 and c6 vertebrae. A neurologist has confirmed her mobility is not limited—she does everything any other dog can, with extra character in her step. Honey Bee also has a few heart issues: a grade 2 murmur, subaortic stenosis, and she's currently heartworm positive. No medications are needed right now, though annual EKGs are recommended to monitor her heart health. She's gentle, quiet, and adores affection—Honey will happily lay by your side, soak up sunbeams in the yard, or chew a bone in her bed. She lives for cuddles and always wants to be close. While she's not aggressive, she's a big dog who plows into things when excited, especially where treats are concerned, so a home without small children suits her best. Honey Bee gets along with kids but is physically exuberant and doesn't realize her own strength. She’s spayed, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. With a birthday of November 1, she’s a Scorpio—famous for resilience and loyalty. If you want a loving companion who just wants to be with you, look no further. What are you waiting for?
