Gigi
AvailableGigi is a senior, medium-sized, spayed female cat who lives in Ringoes, NJ. She’s house trained and has special needs due to her diabetes. Gigi is looking for a patient adopter who understands that her affection looks different, and who will respect her need for space and her health requirements.
About Gigi
Gigi isn’t quite ready to trust humans, but she still deserves a safe, loving home. She keeps to herself and goes about life quietly, valuing her own space and privacy. Instead of seeking human touch, Gigi draws comfort from fellow cats. You’ll often find her curled up with a feline friend in a tucked-away hiding spot, relaxing out of the spotlight. Gigi isn’t one for cuddles and doesn’t want to be picked up, but she isn't aggressive—just independent, preferring to interact on her terms. She would flourish with an adopter who appreciates her as she is and doesn’t force affection. Respect for Gigi’s boundaries is a must. She is diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day, but she’s good about receiving them and won’t give you trouble at medication time. Ready to offer a quiet spot and understanding heart to a cat who marches to her own beat? Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Gigi
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic Shorthair cats like Gigi adapt to most indoor living situations. They’re quite content in an apartment or house, as long as there are cozy hideouts and space to relax.

Gigi is best suited for an indoor-only life, as most domestic shorthairs thrive inside and are safer there. Outdoor space isn’t needed, but window views or safe nooks will make her happy.

Domestic Shorthair cats can fit into homes with children, but Gigi prefers a quieter household since she doesn't seek out handling or attention. Gentle, respectful children may be okay if they give her space.
