Zara
AvailableZara is a young adult, mixed breed Black Labrador Retriever/Border Collie with a striking black coat living in Newport, TN. She is a spayed female, vaccinated and full of lively energy. Zara weighed around 60 pounds last check. She does well with children and loves to play, but is not a fan of cats. Give her a fenced yard and some attention, and you'll see her potential.
About Zara
Zara started life behind a gas station, tucked in a box and unsure what 'home' even meant. Someone noticed her there, and she got a shot at family—warm beds, toys, and all the promise in the world. She grew fast: legs got long, heart got hopeful, energy turned up to eleven. Eventually, she was labeled 'too much' by her first family—too big, too bouncy, not quite trained. But Zara never lost her cheerful tail wag or her knack for belly rubs. Back at the shelter, she spends her days hoping for another door to open. She clicks best with some dogs, especially those who match or respect her play style, but cats just push too many chase buttons. She'd love a fenced yard and someone game to teach her. Zara learns quickly and wants so badly to get it right. She's about 60 pounds, all black fur, and filled with loyalty. Give her time and patience, she'll give you everything she has. She isn’t too much—just waiting for the right person not scared off by a little enthusiasm. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
