About Opal
Meet Opal, a young female Boxer/Terrier mix who’s already survived more than most dogs ever will. Her journey began on the streets of Tijuana, where she was emaciated and covered in ticks before landing in rescue care. After extensive medical attention, including treatment for Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis and ongoing monitoring for Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia, Opal has recovered incredibly well. She is now spayed, her tests are clear, and although she is deaf, it doesn’t slow her down at all. Opal loves being around people—she’s convinced every lap is meant for her and will nudge right in for a cuddle whenever she can. This goofy, affectionate girl is fully house trained and gets along with dogs, cats, and children. While she has some unique needs, her joyful, loving personality shines through every day. If you’re looking for a true companion ready to be part of the family, Opal is ready to meet you. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
