About Captain Pike "bingo"
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Captain Pike "bingo," a spirited, neutered Aussie/Terrier mix around 2 years old with a striking golden and cream coat. Captain Pike was adopted and returned due to biting behavior and his incompatibility with cats. He thrives in an active home—he’s playful, enjoys all kinds of toys (and will lovingly destroy stuffed ones), and is very protective of his beloved humans. You’ll find him housebroken and leash trained, and he knows impressive commands like sit, shake, and even chair! This lap-loving boy is good with women and did well with an infant, but was nippy with older kids, especially if they played near him. He isn’t comfortable around men, is reactive to strangers and people wearing hats, and can be jealous or scared of storms and fireworks. Captain Pike has a few challenges to be prepared for: he digs, chews, jumps on people, and struggles with separation anxiety. He also chases if kids are running. Because he killed a kitten, he’s best in a cat-free home. While he’s done well with other dogs and even lizards, his energy and protective streak call for an adopter who can give him guidance and a structured environment. He has never used a kennel but enjoys riding in cars and being part of daily family life. Captain Pike’s adoption fee is $50 until Dec. 31st and includes neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, and a microchip. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
