Meet Henry, a gentle soul and the current longest resident with his rescue. He had a harrowing start—found as a kitten behind a car tire in Mooresville, NC, but miraculously came away unharmed. Understandably, Henry was anxious after the ordeal, but his foster family quickly learned he’s a resilient little cat who just needs time and patience to feel safe. Henry is shy with new faces and tends to avoid crowded or noisy spaces, which is why he sits out adoption events. But once he trusts you, he transforms—he’s affectionate, loves hip-deep cuddles at bedtime, and is a playful companion in the home. Henry is especially social with other cats and enjoys playing and trying to sneak treats wherever he can. He’s always up for a bit of entertainment, too, watching cat videos on the iPad his foster parents set up for him. Best suited for a home willing to give him time to settle in, Henry will reward your patience with devoted companionship and plenty of quirky moments. Litter box trained, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines, he’s ready for a fresh start. Foster-to-adopt trials are welcome to make sure the fit feels right on both sides.
