About Franklin
Franklin's world changed in an instant. Voices faded, the yard emptied, and he was left with no one except the chain around his neck. At first, Franklin waited, hope lighting up his eyes with every passing car. But the days grew long and the nights quieter, his bowl stayed empty, and the chain pressed heavier against him as hunger set in. Even after his body grew frail and his ribs became more visible, Franklin kept hoping. When rescuers finally approached, his tail managed a shy wag. Despite everything he'd endured, Franklin still held onto trust, still believed someone would show up for him. He didn't deserve to be left behind. Now, at the center, Franklin’s excitement shines bright when people are near. He’s eager to greet you, calms quickly, and enjoys walking on a leash. Above all, Franklin thrives on human attention. He will need to be the only dog in his new home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Franklin
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Franklin, as a Terrier/Mixed Breed, does well in homes that offer structure, human interaction, and a secure yard. His large size means he needs space to stretch and people to engage with every day.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Franklin will thrive with daily walks and a fenced yard to explore safely. Terrier mixes, especially larger ones, benefit from plenty of outdoor time for exercise and stimulation.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Franklin's breed mix is often good-natured, but given his background and need to be a single-dog home, introductions should be done thoughtfully. Generally, these dogs can do well with respectful children.
