This adorable girl is Ellie Mae! Ellie Mae is an approximately 3.5-year-old female Dachshund/Rat Terrier who weighs around 7-8 lbs. She was rescued from a small shelter in Oklahoma. Ellie Mae is a friendly and playful adult dog, who is affectionate, loyal and will be a heartbeat at your feet. She loves to play and run around and would enjoy a home with a yard. With her playful nature and desire to explore, Ellie Mae will need ANOTHER PLAYFUL DOG in the home as well as a stockade fence to dampen her desire to explore unattended. When she's not playing, Ellie Mae is happy to just be sitting in your lap! Ellie Mae is not a fan of cats and has not been around children, so she would be best in a home with children 8+. She also makes a game of trying to grab your feet when you walk. She is a wonderful little dog and a great companion.
