This is BLANCA LUNA! Blanca Luna is near and dear to our hearts! She is such a wonderful and sweet dog with so much love to give! Blanca is about 4 years old and 60ish lbs (she may be a smidge more these days but not by too much). We don’t know her exact breed but in our experience, she looks like a complete mix of breeds...which is exactly what Puerto Rican Satos are known for! To us, she predominantly looks like a Lab/Shepherd mix due to her coloring and fur texture/pattern....and also a little bit like a reindeer during the holiday season (haha). She has a cool wolfy look at times with her pink pointed ears too! Blanca was rescued by a lovely independent rescuer in Puerto Rico that we work with and has been waiting her turn to fly to the States to her forever home. She has been with this rescuer for over a year and a half and unfortunately slipped through the cracks with other rescues who had promised to fly her out so she is under our wing now and has our attention front and center! While she's certainly been waiting too long to be adopted, the plus about her being with her rescuer and foster is that we know her personality very well in a home setting and we know she's an amazing dog! Blanca is a dog who is medium energy and when we visited her she greeted us with glee and a jump up to say hello! She'd be great in a household that enjoys walking or the outdoors as we know she would love leashed walking and hikes! Blanca enjoys the leashed walks that she occasionally gets (they are rare as the foster doesn't have the time to do that) and manners like jumping up to excitedly say hello will subside with a more focused exercise routine in her new home. Blanca is also very food motivated which is excellent for training commands and manners! Blanca gets along great with other dogs of all sizes; she's friendly with them all! She is currently living with several other dogs. She has not officially been cat tested (but we plan to do that!). She is great with everyone she's met and would be great with kids as well! She's very sweet. Blanca likes to relax at home too and enjoys cuddles and attention. She is also quite tolerant of playing dress up as well as you can see! If she's getting attention, she's happy even if she has to wear ridiculous costumes...humiliation for love and a forever home? She's there!
