Rescued from the uncertainty of a shelter, Bernie has quickly adapted to the good things—weekly baths, car rides, public outings, and the comfort of cuddling up with her people at the end of the day. Bernie does best with attentive owners who notice her needs, especially since she’s prone to skin issues. She loves toys and walks, and is crate trained; she handles solo time well when she has toys or a stuffed kong for company. On walks, squirrels inspire her to turn on the excitement, so stay alert for any sudden interest! Bernie gets along with kids, enjoys meeting humans, and likes playing with other dogs (just introduce her slowly to new canine friends).
