About Bernie

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Say hello to Bernie, an adorable 1-year-old pug girl with a heart full of love and a petite 15-pound frame. Bernie adores everyone she meets—kids, dogs, cats—you name it! She is calm, affectionate, and has a gentle spirit that shines through in every cuddle session. Bernie is blind in one eye due to a past untreated ulcer, and her remaining eye has some limited vision as well. Because of these vision challenges, she may be startled if approached suddenly, but once she knows you're there, she'll lean right in for snuggles. Despite her visual impairment, Bernie lives life joyfully, soaking up every bit of love and happiness just like any other pup. Bernie has completed her vetting, including microchipping, vaccinations, dewormer, and spaying, so she's ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a sweet, social companion who doesn't let anything hold her back, Bernie is eager to meet you and start your next chapter together! A New Life Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) accredited rescue devoted to helping dogs in need, regardless of their size or breed. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
