Gloria
AvailableGloria is a medium-sized Shepherd/mixed breed dog with a yellow, tan, blond, and black coat. She’s an adult female, about 4 years and 9 months old, living in Brownsboro, AL. Gloria is spayed and has her vaccinations up to date. Due to nerve damage from a previous accident, she has some special care needs—a loving home that can help her manage incontinence and provide a safe environment will be essential.
About Gloria
Gloria has been through a lot. After a traumatic accident left part of her tail badly injured, she underwent several surgeries and has spent a long recovery period in a loving foster home. Through it all, her sweet nature has shone through as she slowly gained strength and started showing off the personality that pain once hid. The injury caused nerve damage that makes her unable to control her bowels, so she's not always aware when it happens. It might be permanent, but she has taken to wearing a diaper inside at night and still urinates outside as if she remembers being house trained. Despite these challenges, Gloria is happy, resilient, and loves to nap in the sun, hang out with other dogs, and enjoys a good game of fetch—she especially loves belly and ear rubs. She seems to ignore cats and is friendly with dogs of any size. Her enthusiasm is evident when greeting her humans, though she’s learning not to jump. She's nearly recovered and her foster mom is ready to teach any adopter how to care for her as her tail finishes healing. Gloria would thrive as an outside dog with proper shelter and a canine companion. She needs adopters who can embrace her exactly as she is—loving, playful, and unbothered by her differences. Gloria is about four years old and is looking for a family ready to accept her wholeheartedly. Leos like Gloria tend to crave attention and enjoy the warmth of the sun—a trait she certainly displays.
