MILDRED (a.k.a. Miley) Age: 5 years | Birthday: October 27 Hi there! I'm Mildred, but my friends call me Miley! My story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. I've been in and out of the shelter for almost two years now, and I've never had a real home for long. I'm ready for that to change. When I first arrived, I was underweight, overbred, and battling heartworms. But thanks to my amazing rescue team, I've had my surgeries, completed my heartworm treatment, and am now healthy, heartworm-free, and ready for the best chapter yet. I'll be celebrating my 5th birthday on October 27 and my only wish is to finally have a family of my own. I've learned so much while waiting patiently here at the shelter, and here's what makes me special: Affectionate: I love snuggles, kisses, and just being close to my people. Crate & Housetrained: I'm tidy and know my routines. Dog Selective: I do well with some dogs, but I'd shine brightest as your one-and-only or with a calm, compatible friend. No Cats: I'm not a fan of feline roommates. Good with Kids: Gentle kiddos make my tail wag! Leash Trained: Walks are my favorite part of the day.
