About Mildred
Mildred—better known as Miley to her friends—has spent nearly two years drifting in and out of shelter life, and she’s more than ready to settle down for good. Now healthy and heartworm-free after some hard times, she’s hoping to finally find her place. Mildred is five years old, born on October 27 (which makes her a Scorpio, by the way—fierce loyalty and a love for comfort are part of the deal). She’s affectionate, loves snuggles, and is known to shower her people with kisses. Housetrained and crate-savvy, Mildred understands routines and loves a calm environment. She enjoys the company of gentle kids and bonds quickly with men. While she gets along with some dogs, she does best as an only pup or with a mellow canine companion. No cats, though—Mildred prefers a feline-free home. She’s leash-trained, a great car rider, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys and lounging near her people. Her energy leans low to moderate: expect stretches of relaxation with happy spurts of playful zoomies. After everything she’s overcome, Mildred needs a patient, kind adopter willing to show her that forever is possible. She’s waited a long time to give her heart away. Ready to fall in love?
