Hi, I’m Lady! I’m a sweet and energetic girl looking for my forever home! I weigh about 38 pounds right now, but my foster family is helping me gain a little more to be at my healthiest. My breed is a bit of a mystery, but we’re waiting on my DNA results to learn more! I love people—both men and women—and I get so excited when there’s food around that I sometimes jump up on counters (oops!) to get at it. I come from Houston, the city of strays, and me and my 5 puppies were picked up and put in the shelter until this rescue has decided to take my whole family on. I haven't been tested around children yet, but I would probably do best with older children since I can be a bit bouncy when I’m excited. I’m a smart girl who’s crate-trained and doing well with house training. I had a few accidents when I first arrived at my foster home, but now that I have a routine, I do great! I love my crate and settle down nicely when I’m inside. I walk well on a leash and stick close to my person, which makes me a great walking buddy! I have lots of energy and love to move around, especially if food is involved. I haven’t really shown much interest in toys, but I do enjoy bully sticks or duck feet as treats. Daily walks, playtime, and some enrichment activities will help me stay happy and healthy. I travel well in my crate when going to vet appointments. I'm spayed, UTD on my vaccines, and don't pull on my leash. If you’re looking for a loving, food-motivated, and active companion, I might be the perfect girl for you.
