About Cher
Cher and her companion Sonny were picked up after being spotted roaming busy streets together in South LA. Their story started with survival on the streetsādashing through traffic, scavenging for scraps, and finally taking up a brief post as 'guards' outside a police station, too intimidating for passersby to approach. When help finally arrived, Cher quickly warmed up, hopping into the car within minutes, while Sonny took hours to catch. Once they felt safe, the two curled up together and sleptāfinally able to rest. No one ever came forward for them, so now Cher is waiting for a home of her own. Cher is a gentle, leash-trained adult German Shepherd who is also potty trained. She focuses hard on cats and squirrels but doesn't chase them while she's on leash. Her bond with Sonny faded after being spayed, and she's ready to be someone's best friend for life. Cher gets along with other dogs, and her quiet confidence will win over just about anyone. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
