At three years old, he’s developed some strong preferences—he wants to be the only cat, with no kids around to stress him out. Mellow’s early life was tough, but he's come through it with plenty of love to give and a sense for routine; he loves being involved in daily life, whether curling up nearby or watching you work. His ideal person is experienced with cats, home often, and willing to give him steady companionship. Mellow bonds deeply, especially with women, and thrives in a quiet home. He’s cautious with new faces and most comfortable once trust is built, especially with men. He needs a safe outdoor space (like a catio), since regular outside time soothes him and is part of his daily rhythm. He can be quirky—he’ll chase a game or try to relocate your water cup, and sometimes chews clothing left out due to anxiety, so a tidy home is best. Mellow is healthy but needs to stay on a special diet. He isn’t a match for busy homes, other cats, or young children.
