About Marianne
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Marianne is making heartwarming strides as she settles into her foster home, showing gentle, steady progress every day. Although she remains on the shy side, she's beginning to step out of her crate more often, exploring the house and even peeking into the office when someone's working. She especially enjoys quiet time outside in the dog run. Trust-building is ongoing, and Marianne now bravely takes chicken treats straight from gentle hands and receives enrichment through a daily puzzle toy—her intelligence shines as she works on these challenges. While Marianne is still cautious about physical touch and can be nervous around sudden movements, her foster family cherishes each small sign of trust. Her comfort comes from patience, calmness, and a secure environment, and she occasionally howls at night if lonely, but being near her crate helps ease her worries. Potty training is an ongoing process for her; she does very well with pee pads indoors and is gradually choosing to go outside more often. Her progress is remarkable, and with continued routine and consistency, she's expected to thrive even further. Marianne blossoms best in a calm home that offers patience, structure, and space for her to grow in confidence. She enjoys moments of playful energy as she begins to interact with toys. Though her past lacked opportunities for socialization, her resilience and gentle nature are shining through. Marianne and other rescue dogs have come to Oregon in hopes of finding loving families—they're each dreaming of their forever home, ready for a new start. If you’re considering welcoming a special pup like Marianne, now is the perfect opportunity. With flexible adoption trials and loving foster families, these deserving dogs are ready for their next adventure. Will you be the hero in Marianne’s story? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
