About Finch
Finch arrived at the shelter alongside his brother, Ford, after their previous family was unable to care for them and several other dogs. At first, Finch is shy and reserved, but offer him a gentle hand and a treat, and he quickly shows his warmer side. His shelter nickname, 'Mouth,' comes from his habit of searching all over for treats—he's very motivated by food! Finch is not expected to grow much more. He’s spent his life mostly outdoors, but he’s learned to love the comfort of a comfy bed and toys inside the shelter. Though he’s partially house trained and prefers to go outside when he needs to, Finch is still learning the ropes of indoor living. He generally gets along well with other dogs and could do well with older, gentle children—his energetic treat search could be a bit much for younger ones. Finch is looking for a patient home where he can settle in and blossom at his own pace. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Terrier/Shepherd mix like Finch appreciates regular access to a yard or daily walks. He benefits from time outdoors to explore and burn energy, but is also comfortable lounging inside.
