About Violet
Violet is a mix of German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, and she has the protective instincts and loving nature you'd expect from both breeds. She bonds closely with her people and once she trusts you, she's a true cuddler—affectionate, playful, and happiest around her family. Violet had a tough start, so she needs people who will give her space to open up and understand that her trust takes time. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy. At home, Violet does great with dogs and loves a canine playmate. She's respectful of cats but has a strong herding drive—she may herd anything that moves quickly, including other pets and even people. She cannot live with birds or chickens, as she sees them as toys. She sleeps well in her crate all night, is house trained, and enjoys her chew toys and daily walks. Violet needs a home where someone is home most of the day, ideally with a fenced yard and a vet reference, and within about an hour of Terrell, TX. She’s best with a family ready to give her time and patience so she can become her true, loving self. (Born July 25, Violet is a Leo—no surprise she likes to be devoted to her inner circle.)
