Rambo
AvailableRambo is a three-year-old, large, black and white/cream mixed pit bull terrier and black labrador retriever in Bartlett, TN. He is neutered and house trained, and his vaccinations are up to date. Rambo has full vision in one eye, but this doesn't slow him down or dim his love for life.
About Rambo
Just over a year ago, Rambo was found in rural Mississippi with a severe head injury and lost vision in one eye. He has made a full recovery, but the trauma he endured set him apart. Rambo hasn't let his partial vision affect his zest for life; he loves to run, play, and explore with all the enthusiasm you’d expect from a young, resilient dog. He’s remarkably affectionate—bonding deeply with his people, craving pets, attention, and staying close. Rambo feels everything strongly—joy, excitement, adventure—and especially lights up outdoors where the world seems endlessly interesting to him. Rambo does have a strong prey drive. He cannot go to a home with small animals or small dogs, but flourishes alongside larger dogs. His foster home has three big dog friends, and he truly enjoys their company. Rambo is crate trained, house trained, and thrives with structure and steady guidance. Despite being overlooked for his color, the right person will see his fierce loyalty, resilience, and overflowing heart. He’s survived more than most ever will and is ready to show someone just how much love he has to give. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Rambo is a mixed pit bull terrier and black labrador retriever, which are highly adaptable. They do well in homes with a yard or access to active outdoor spaces, especially where he can explore and burn energy.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A dog like Rambo enjoys regular access to a safely enclosed outdoor area. He will thrive with space to run and play, making a backyard ideal, but frequent trips to parks or long walks also keep him happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both pit bull terriers and labrador retrievers tend to do well with children when properly socialized. Rambo's affectionate nature would likely make him a devoted companion, but his size and energy mean supervision with small kids is wise.
