About Mint Julep

'Julie' is all puppy and keeping her foster mom on her toes! The smart little girl is seemingly afraid of nothing and, with her endless energy, makes life an adventure for all. She and three siblings had been fending for themselves but Julie is learning to walk nicely on a leash, but loves her foster fur siblings, happily submits to bathtime, and has had no accidents indoors! With patience, we know this beauty will be an amazing member of the pack when her furever family finds her. About Alaskan Malamute Dogs

Alaskan Malamutes are powerful, heavily built Arctic dogs bred for hauling heavy loads over long distances. They have a thick double coat, erect ears, and a plumed tail that curves over their back. Despite their imposing size, they are affectionate and playful with their families.

Adopting a Malamute means gaining a loyal companion who loves outdoor adventures. They thrive in cold climates and need plenty of exercise to stay happy. Their pack mentality means they bond deeply with their family.

Hot, humid summers with severe thunderstorm risk call for careful planning of outdoor activities. Walk in the morning or evening and carry water for your pet. The Missouri River trails and Heartland of America Park offer scenic but exposed routes, so seek shade.
