Meet Jinx! Hi there — my name is Jinx. I’m a stunning tortie (orange & black) domestic short hair. I’m a little reserved at first, but curious and laid-back once I get comfortable — and when I’m ready, I’m very affectionate and love giving headbutts. I’ll also let you know when I want extra attention (I’m pretty chatty about it!). My only “special need” is patience: I’ll need a calm, quiet home and a patient person (or couple) who will give me a couple of weeks to settle in and trust my new surroundings. I do best without kids or a lot of commotion. I usually prefer to be the only pet in the house, though I’ve lived with an older sister and can tolerate a mellow, respectful cat — I mostly ignore her and only hiss if she bothers me. A little about my story: I was rescued from a domestic violence situation and needed time to process leaving my family. TX Pawprints brought me into a loving foster home where I’ve done really well. We require our adopters are 21 years old or older, keep the cat inside only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and do not declaw.
