About Sugarplum
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Sugarplum, an eight-month-old female Doberman puppy looking for her forever family. Sugarplum has spent most of her young life in rescue and has overcome a lot. Early on, she endured an injury to her head that left her with a crooked neck and a wobbly gait, making it tough to keep up with her siblings. When she couldn’t compete for food, she was taken to a shelter, but was lucky enough to be quickly scooped up by caring rescuers. Despite facing even more challenges, Sugarplum remained resilient. She has something called megaesophagus, a condition that can make eating tricky, but she’s grown strong and is able to eat normally for now. With love and some medical support as needed, Sugarplum has blossomed. Her head has straightened out, she walks much better, and she’s proven herself to be a determined, spunky soul with a big heart. Sugarplum is friendly with other dogs and gets along with people and cats, too. She will likely need a family ready to offer her some extra care, but she rewards love and patience in spades. She’s waiting for her next adventure—could that be with you? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
