About Golda
Click apply to start the adoption process. Golda’s journey is nothing short of incredible. When she first arrived at the shelter, it was believed she was in the late stages of heart failure and deemed a hospice case, putting her at risk of euthanasia to make space for other dogs. Despite leaving the shelter without her that day, her big bright eyes lingered in everyone’s minds, and a dedicated foster was found who opened their home to her in what was thought to be her final days. After more thorough medical testing, it was discovered that Golda was not actually in hospice care. Although she is a senior (around 11 years old) with some arthritis and early-stage heart disease, her condition is well managed with medication and special food. Golda is now officially up for adoption, shining with a new lease on life and ready to share joy with her new family. Golda is the definition of easy-going and happy. She is dog friendly—her spirit lights up around other dogs, and she enjoys playful moments that belie her age. She also gets along beautifully with cats and children, making her a perfect addition to a household with other pets and family members. Golda is trustworthy when left alone at home, and her excited prances and zoomies are evidence of her zest for life. It’s a delight and a privilege to see Golda glow after all she’s been through. She’s a living testament to second chances and is ready to live out the rest of her years in a loving forever home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
