About Emma & Gustave
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Eyelid agenesis is a rare genetic condition causing eyelids to form incorrectly, leading to lash irritation and partial vision loss—but it hasn't dimmed the spirit of these resilient bonded kittens! Gus and Emma, lovingly fostered through Rocket Cat Rescue, are remarkable for their affectionate 'boneless' cuddles, love of being carried, and penchant for sleeping in your arms. Playful and curious, Gus is the chatty charmer while Emma is the gentle and floppy investigator. They're big fans of petting sessions, get along with a resident Malamute mix, and display impeccable cat manners. Both kittens receive ongoing care at UC Davis through a generous grant for their condition, with minimal ongoing needs anticipated; if further care or surgery is required, support will always be available. Despite their partial vision, they're happy, lively, and mostly just as adventurous as any young cats—sometimes with the comic misstep off a counter! Their foster environment is uniquely equipped for special needs animals, offering expert understanding and a safe, loving atmosphere. All emergent and routine care is provided, and you'll get a complete medical history when adopting. After mastering key kitten skills, these little heroes come microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, spayed/neutered, flea/parasite treated, vaccinated, and ready for their forever home—complete with a Hero gift bag full of favorites. Born April 17 (making them outgoing Aries kittens!), Gus and Emma are eagerly waiting to share their warmth and charm with a special adopter. Start your journey together! Apply now.
