Meet Clyde Drexel - The Gentleman Adventurer! Around 2 years old and weighing a healthy 46 lbs, Clyde Drexel is the perfect mix of charm, resilience, and adventure. When his kind foster mom first spotted him on her daily walk, this handsome, reddish-gold boy wasn't in great shape. His right front paw was sore from a fracture (now healing), he was skinny from fending for himself, and it was clear he'd been on his own for far too long. But even then, Clyde's tail wagged, his eyes lit up, and he made instant friends-especially with his foster's dog, a proud Take Paws alum. A vet visit confirmed he wasn't microchipped, no one claimed him after lost dog postings, and he tested positive for heartworms. The good news? He is now neutered and his upcoming heartworm treatment is 100% covered by the rescue. With good food, vet care, and plenty of love, Clyde is thriving in foster care. He's believed to have never been an "inside" dog, so he's still perfecting his house-training skills-but the joys of escaping the heat, chilling on the sofa, and being part of a family? Oh yeah-he's all in! Clyde is believed to be a Terrier-Vizsla or Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, and he's the best of all worlds: Polite indoors Affectionate and easygoing-happy to lounge or go for walks A natural with other dogs, especially his foster's pup The perfect blend of gentle soul and playful spirit Now, Clyde Drexel is ready to swap his stray days for a soft bed, full belly, and a forever family who will treasure him. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
